From time to time, I get obsessed with different notes of fragrances. Last few months, I bought every fragrance I could find that has Cannabis in it. One of my Black Friday huge haul is a turkish fragrance, by Lelas producer. Chilly Chill, from the Lelas Prive line, is a fragrance that has Cannabis as top note.

The fragrance was a blind buy, a nice one, at an affordable price with the discount – about 40 euro, which is quite fair for this one.

First of all, I have to say that I love the presentation, but I didn’t like the fact they do not offer samples of other fragrances. I find this to be a mistake, because most of perfumes lovers are easily convinced to buy more just by sniffing 1 or 2 ml.

The bag, the box and the bottle are all in a combination of black and gold, not very careful with the details though, but for the price is ok. Most of oriental origin fragrances look a bit kitschy, but this one goes more for the niche simple design, imitating the Kilian’s bottle design.

The notes listed are as follows: cannabis and herbal notes on top, reisins, woody notes, coffee, tobacco in the middle, agarwood and incense as base.

The fragrance opens with a smokey cannabis green notes flavour, that quickly disappears and is replaced by tobacco, coffee, reisins, wood and incense. The fragrance is quite linear, good sillage and long lasting. I find it more suited for a man, but I would not exclude women wearing it. It is a heavy fragrance, smokey and a bit nauseating. I would have loved more green notes, more cannabis, freshly cut grass, maybe even some fig leafs to balance the oriental flavour.

It is definitely an evening and cold days fragrance, not exactly for the office, because it can be disturbing for others, and not for leisure other. I think it is appropriate for a business meeting or a cocktail. I also don’t find it fitting in a black tie event.

All in all, if you are searching for a cannabis scented fragrance, like I was, this is not the one. If you are looking for an oriental fragrance, flashy, smokey, manly, this is a good choice.
