Some Juicy stuff

As I previously mentioned, last weekend we had a short getaway to a mountain resort. The second fragrance I bought along is a sweet-quite gourmand one, Viva la Juicy from Juicy Couture.

I got this as a blind buy, from Best Value, at a very good price.

The perfume is quite nice for the price payed. It is not overwhelming, nor a statement one, just a casual fragrance, for a casual day.

The fragrance opens up with some berries and mandarin, continuing with honeysuckle, gardenia and jasmine, all settling on sweet base notes of amber, caramel, vanilla, sandalwood and pralines. Although it has so many sweets in it’s composition, it is not as gourmand as I expected, but this is nice because it doesn’t get to be nauseous. It is a perfect scent for a day at the office or a day outside, quite appropriate for an all season wear. As I was saying, it is not a statement perfume, so don’t expect the wow factor when wearing it.

Even if the box and bottle are a bit kitschy, they are in the well known Juicy Couture style, whit pink, glitter and sparks. It is like a plastic toy jewelry, youngish and playful, giving a feeling of joy and serenity when wearing it.

I payed for the 50 ml eau de parfum bottle about 25 euro, which is more than a fair price for it and for what it represents in the perfume universe.

If you want a cheap, medium lasting, sweet, normal fragrance, that Viva la Juicy is perfect.
